Carol J or any members please explain one last time

Maybe its me and my limited intellect, but I have a ton of stuff that I would like to get graded and/or holdered but cant seem to understand the language on the submission form. I know its been discussed before (in fact over and over again) but I would like it explained so I can submit stuff once, not have the dreaded “We have received your submission and are unable to process it at this time” email, have it sit on the problem shelf for 3 months, have my credit card billed again for different services, etc etc.
The infamous “Combo Special”
“Any autographed card with a declared value of under $500”, yet you show an autographed 1965 Mickey Mantle?
How is it I can use this service and NOT have to submit the card through PSA/DNA at those increased fees?
PSA/DNA charges $100 to authenticate a Mickey Mantle Autograph, plus I am guessing the lowest card grading fee I could pay is “regular” at 15.00 per card (however I have heard of submitters having cards returned for trying to sneak big names in on a cheaper service).
So I can take a 1960 or 1961 Mickey Mantle autographed card, bypass using PSA/DNA, and have the card graded AND authenticated for 20 bucks rather than $115 (NOT including the $15 registed mail charge x2 to send it in, once to PSA/DNA and once to PSA AND the $15 return postage charge x2 to receive it twice)?
Any member with any experience using the Combo please either respond or pm
Thanks in advance for any help in understanding this

The lowest starts at $20 per card.
For our example we'll say you have a licensed trading card, which is autographed, valued at $700.
If you look at the Express service level in red it states:
"Guaranteed Turnaround 2 Business Days (No Autograph)"
"Guaranteed Turnaround 20 Business Days (w/Autograph)*
So in this example you can submit an autographed, licensed trading card valued up to $999 at this service level but because it is autographed the turnaround is 20 business days
This scenario is for licensed trading cards only.

thanks for the response. i think people get confused on the difference in sending in a 3 X 5 index card with an auto vs a regular issued card. my understanding is that with the regular issued cards you pay is based only on the value of the card so, if its a common card that is auto'd then you pay $20. If its a 52 Topps mantle then you have to pay based on the service level of the value of the card. for auto's on other media, say balls, index cards you pay at a rate for the player. is this understanding correct? i think that is what you are saying.

I was at a show and had a customer with a signed T206. Being a T206 I double checked the card value in the SMR. It was under $500 at the time.
The order was stopped because the autograph value listed in the SMR was $8000.
So try to double check both values so you don't run into problems when it comes in.
Index cards do not get the benefit of this combo deal and must be submitted under regular PSA/DNA pricing.
