MS-66 in the title? I thought eBay was not allowing this...

I thought eBay was only allowing MS-?? in the titles of auctions if the coin was in one of the 'accepted' slabs...

OK, say a sellers sells 1000 items monthly; 50% don't know the difference between good & bad, 48% of his items are good, and 20 people can get skrood monthly and that's OK with eBay to give out a PowerSeller seal of approval!
As far as this auction, coin on a paper clip to take a picture.
Makes me feel confident that the coin hasn't been mishandled.
<< <i>I guess an SGS MS-70 is the same to you as a PCGS MS-70. Remind me to not take you shopping with me. >>
No, they aren't the same to me. But, I agree that the new rules make no difference. They will not do ONE THING to protect someone who does think that there is no difference between the two company's grades. {edit to add: or in this case between PCGS grade and some seller's raw grade.) The only thing that will keep someone from making such buying errors on Ebay--OR ANYWHERE ELSE--is a dose of common sense on the buyer's part. If one can buy a (as in this case) 150 dollar coin for 30.00 then there is a reason.
<< <i>I tend to agree with you. It's just very dissapointing to see so many people get burned because they are uneducated about coins and grading. Maybe everyone has to learn the hard way. >>
That's exactly it. Why does everyone need to be protected? As I said before, do you rely on the managers of a flea market that only good, reliable stuff is going to be sold and you can trust all of the dealers? On the same wavelength, do you hold the managers of coin shows responsible to keep all the crappy coin dealers out or to be sure every coin at the show is properly represented? Why does ebay feel it's their job to protect the bidders?

uh huh
And remember the words of Meg:
eBay is not for Everyone...
Some turds get in the wrong plastic, some just stay raw...
A return policy is important when purchasing gems online.
Buy the coin, not the opinion of it. If it isn't what you want, send it back and have a positive experience. It all "Depends"™ on You

Why would you make that assumption? It makes as much sense as eBay's policy.
