FSH: Bulk lot of 90,000 40's and 50's wheats

As the realization dawns that I'm not likely to ever take a closer look at these coins, I'm feeling willing to part with 1,800 rolls of P and D wheats from the 40's and 50's. I've looked quickly through the entire lot, trying to pull all the culls, steelies, clips, and S-mint marks. Other than the 1955 DDO, I didn't look for varieties of any kind.

Is anyone out there interested in the entire lot for the best offer over $3,500?

Feel free to PM me with any inquiries or offers.

Thanks!

Just curious, why would you pull the S mintmarks and steelies? You want 3.88 cents each for no excitement?

    Since you asked, Bob:

I pulled the culls, steelies, S's, and clips because I had those basic categories in mind as I sorted. It was just my rough and ready protocol for seeing and recording what was in the pile.

It isn't my intent to offer any excitement or dreams of great finds for sale here, which is why I make it very plain that these are 40's and 50's P and D wheaties with little likelihood of any other dates or mint marks hiding in the lot--but also with all the obvious culls (corroded, bent, holed, gouged, etc.) coins removed. I'm just offering a big pile of wheats in better than average circulated condition, and I'm telling everyone up front what price I'd be willing to part with them for.

If nobody wants them for that price, I'll take no offense, and I'll cheerfully hang onto them.

I fully expect that the vast majority of readers of this board aren't looking to purchase a lot like this (at any price), and that they'll take no offense and pay no attention to the offer.

    Fair enough?
