My Krause is a couple years old and the price of the set is not in it, however the individual pieces only total about $30 USD, far less than the current bid. Maybe the box is worth $130image

Krause lists the Proof set at the end of the regular coinage with unknown mintage and value. They refer to 36a, 38a, and 40a. (My Krause is the 2004 ed.)

The individual coins are also listed normally as 36, 38, and 40 but noted as Proof only, so I don't know, I'm slightly confused. Boz is spot on though, $30 is about the total of the individual coins values as Krause has them, $7.50, $7.00, and $14.50 for the 5, 10, and 20 dong.

Having said that the obverses are gorgeous and Ho Chi Minh is an iconic figure in Asia. With a limited minting of only 2,500 sets I can well understand the demand; it's Krause I can't understand.

The coins are beautifully and professionally presented (and from a seller of no small activity), what more can you ask?image

The way the russians made the coins make it seem as though minh lived for 100 years and died in 1990 which is not the case. HCM died Sept 3rd,1969
