  • A good rule of thumb, I've found, is to have auctions end at about 9 PM CST late in the week or weekend.

edited to say: now with sniping, the time an auction ends is becoming less important.

A good point. I guess I should've asked people to only respond if they don't use snipe programs.

Actually, this whole idea was not very well thought out. This data has to already be out there somewhere. I just haven't found it.

    9PM central time, huh? Thanks.

Sorry I couldn't answer your survey.

I'm willing to bet there are some who check day or evening - whenever they get a break or think of it.

Plus - I don't actually have a "buying session" since I snipe - no need to sit and watch the paint dry.

    Good idea tho.

I don't have any time I purchase either, I am always at the computer it seems.

So I guess my vote would be "whenever I feel like it"

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

I place bids on things at lunch time, if I win them great if not no biggie to me. I am not bidding on anything that I have to have at this point, so I am not keeping an eye on the auction until it ends.

After selling on Ebay for a few years I found that the best time to end my auctions in Sunday nighe between 8 and 10 PM ET.

I don't do this on long weekends. I usually skip those weeks.
