Buying Coins from Heritage Auctions

Sorry this is my first time bidding on Online Auctions. I bid on some 8 Reales on Heritage Auction winning 5 of them. I was wondering if I have to worry about the coin being a counterfeit like on Ebay. I got so tired of returning coins because they were fake and underweight on Ebay, I though I'd give Heritage a try. Has anyone bought a coin from Heritage that turned out to be fake or misrepresented? Thanks Everyone.

Hi Meiji! Are you referring to Republic Cap'n'Rays that were sold yesterday? I didn't inspect all of those, but the pillars, cobs and portraits all looked good to me (though some were hairlined from cleaning). Personally, I would trust Heritage to be able to identify a counterfeit (modern, at least). If you post which lots you've won, I should be able to at least give you my opinion.

P.S. After checking my e-mail, it looks like I've won 2 Cap'n'Rays, as well. image

Currently I am only interested in Portraits and Pillars. I actually won 5 auctions and I'm VERY excited to get them in the mail. But if you want to check them out, I know you are pretty good at telling fakes. here they are.

I hope I can trust Heritage. There was one Swedish Riksdaler that I was unsure of, but my resources are limited as far as verification is concerned.
Anyway, make sure about how Heritage will ship your lots to you. The first time I received winning lots, the package simply was left by my door. Anyone could have picked it up. Heritage now has on record that I want to sign for my packages.

Ah, so you were the one that pick-up the Guatemalan piece. I was very close to bidding on it, myself. The pieces look authentic, however the last 3 have too many hairlines for my taste (and the lack of patina isn't helping, either). The first piece has nice luster, too.

Cool thanks for your feedback. I'm just glad they are real. Thanks for that Shipping Info harasha, I'll make sure they send it Certified with signature verification.
What's funny is that I was going to bid on the imaginary Portrait 1811 that you won Roman, but I went down to eat dinner and forgot about it image
I was staring at that live auction for over 1 hour .. my vision was getting blurry and I was hungry.
    Congratz on your wins image
