How's that show for darkside stuff? mostly Canadian?

I just moved up to the Ft Drum area (north of Syracuse) and have been wondering about shows in the upstate area. Absolutely nothing in my immediate area from what I hear!

Ft. Drum? Watertown. I hope you like snow. image

If this show is like their normal Fall show, then it will be just OK for darkside material, but nothing special. Unfortunately I don't have a list of dealers attending to see who'll be there. I'll give a report Saturday.

Worse. Adams Center. We have a stop light! a gas station too!
And, yeah, what makes the winter all the more sad and scary.. I just came from southeast Arizona...

Coin-wise, Watertown has a single shop with a small neglected corner of darkside material long ago picked over. That's it.

So what are the must-see shows for the darkside generalists in this neck of the woods?

I have been to Adams Center. image

Not really any great shows for World coins around here. The best dealer is only a part time dealer named Mike Fiedler who sets up at only a couple shows a year. I'm not sure if he'll be at the show this weekend or not. I believe there will be one other dedicated world coin dealer there. I can't remember his name, Dick someone, who is from South Central NY near Elmira. He usually has a good selection of material but his prices are a little high.

Well, I just remembered, unfortunately, I'll be in Philly this weekend. But at least there are a couple good dealers there. image

You may want to take a 2 hour drive for this show:

    Coinfest

The promoter is a liteside board member. I'll try to link the dealer list later.

Having spent five years going to college in the North Country many years ago, you have my sympathy. You might want to pick up some long underwear before the snow flies.

The annual CNA show will be in Ottawa next July - not too far from where you are.

I should be at 10:00 also. We have a wedding to go to early afternoon so I can only stay for a couple of hours.
