Do you need a 1934 GOUDEY Eddie Durham?

Hi, I have a 1934 Doudey Eddie(Ed) Durham if anybody needs it. I don't do Baseball so thats why i'm getting rid of it. Its graded by bvg a 4.5 but it was graded back in the day when they were very strick with their grading standers and would possibly come back high for PSA? This would be great for your PSA Set Registry, just submit with PSA and you got yourself a great card to add to your collection! The subs are as follows: Centering 9 which is 9.5 in todays bvg standards, Corners 4 which is like maybe a 6 or 7 in todays bvg standards, Edges 7 which is probably like an 8 for today and Surface 6 which is probably a 7 or even 8 for todays standards. The back is one of the cleanest i've seen, even when I see a PSA 7 or 8 I still see some bad backs but not this one. I will provide scans to any interestead person. Thank you for your timeimage

  • Ok here is the scans:

    FRONT SCAN

    BACK SCAN
  • Actualy the scans don't do this card justice, it is much better looking in person. I have seen PSA 7's going well over $700 and PSA 6 for about $500 or so. I'm telling you, this card definetly has potencial. Tell you the truth I was going to send it to PSA to get it crossed over but 1. I don't collect Baseball anymore, i'm trying to stick with Basketball HOF Autographs, 2. I want to grade all my Basketball autographs and don't to waste a submission to this card because don't do Baseball anymore. 3. I don't want to risk breaking it out of the case and sending it in, I might damage the card really bad and finaly I wouldn't want to send it to PSA in the holder because no matter how good this card's grade is which it is great PSA would probably not grade it high because they would probably say to themselves if I give this a high grade what is the person gona think so those are my 4 reasons not to have it re-graded which it definetly does deserve to be. Even though I don't do Baseball I was thinking of sending it in to PSA and if I don't get rid of it, i'll probably do just that and hold on to it. I would take my chances sending it in to PSA just the way it is and maybe they'll give it the grade it really deserves even though it was a low BVG 4.5 grade. But remember this card was graded some years back when they were the strickest grading company around! Not the case now with their grading standards in my opinion but they were definetly the leaders in strick grading back in the day. Please let me know if your interestead because i'll probably just hold on to it if I don't get rid of it. I will listen to any offers, please let me know and please don't ask me what I want for it because I have no idea. I will listen to the highest offer I guess?

I thought it was only BGS that was strict. They came out with BVG later to offer a more relaxed grading standard. I may be wrong but I didn't think BVG had a strict grading policy even from the start. Would be interested to know if this was not the case.
