back in the late 80's through 90's i used to frequent a shop in Asheville NC owned by John Conner (now deceased)....he was a colorful character, often misunderstood
John would promote shows in the Southeast region and would usually be accompanied by Charlie his father, who founded the Snap-It brand of card holders once popular. They also held an interest in the non sport label "CollectACard" which made Harley Davidson, Vette Set, and Coke cards most notably.
He drove a red Acura NSX and was one of the most infectuous personalities i've met to this day. I'm not sure why he came to mind but does anyone else have stories good or bad about John?
He did have bouts with manic depression and the highs were (as in most cases) only eclipsed by the lows
