Yes congrats to the Phills. Wen't to my first Mets game in 1975 and have been a fan ever since. They didn't deserve the N.L East this year, the Phillies did.

I hope the Mets players learned a lesson the past 2 weeks, you can't turn your play on the field on and off like a light switch. You play hard and to win EVERY GAME !

If I can briefly speak for all Philly fans...Thank you gentlemen!

We enjoy our smack talk and rooting for our favorite teams, but after the game or series is over it's always time for good sportsmanship towards others. I'm glad 99.9% of us here understand that.

Stevek, I was driving home to Philly and knew I'd better avoid coming in via I-95 cause the game was almost over...so I took the Schuykill Expy. and when I saw a fan on the side of the road waving his Phillies jersey to drivers I knew it was a done deal. I gave up on this team several teams this year, so I'm glad they didn't give up on themselves. Those last 8 games they beat the Mets turned to be pivotal.

It looks as if the folks in Chicago and Philadelphia have something to be happy about... congrats...

While its a good, albeit great thing to have diversity of teams in the playoffs, ratings are going to suck if either boston or NY don't make it to the world series because of MLBs and the broadcast network's absolute refusal to show good, young, different teams during the season.

Great run for the Phils but it couldn't have happened without the historic collapse by the Mets.

Congratulations Steve. I have to admit that I was impressed with the way the Phillies did not let adversity discourage them. Every time the Mets appeared to pull away from the rest of the Division, the Phils hung in there without giving up. (By the way, I remain a loyal Mets fan and I will be rooting against the Yankees big time. No way this Met fan all of a sudden roots for the Yanks and I'm sure that the other Mets fans on the board feel the same.)

I hear you .... I have always been very indifferent towards the Mets. I have never actively rooted for them unless the opposing team had a "B" on its cap and I certainly have never actively rooted against them. Whatever!
