Mercury dates with Pics & Question.

I know that Mercury dimes are prone to lots of shelf/hub(?) doubling, like this 1945: image
...which shows doubling on all the digits & also shows doubling in the word LIBERTY around the rim.

But this 1944, doesn't show quite the same type of distinctive date doubling, nor does it show anywhere else on the obverse?

Is this the same type of doubling? Thanks ~

As far as I know it's all machine doubling, and not a DDO. Here's my 1921-D:

  • All 3 Mercs. are machine doubling damage, aka shelf doubling. You said "shelf/hub (?) doubling" as though they are
the same thing. They are not. Nice photos.

My mistake.... I meant the die deterioration not hub.
