I'm finding this Coinstrike deal pretty daggum tempting...

600 bucks on Kellyco, with a free pinpointer and stuff.

I have seen it for less on other sites ($550-ish), but without the freebies.

It would be nice to have a chest-mountable rig.

I like the Garrett 2500 but after more than about two hours of swinging it, the ligaments in my right arm ache for a day or so. It is a good machine but ergonomically awful. Hipmounting the battery pack on it (the only part of it that slides off) really doesn't help much, since it becomes even more unbalanced then. I think you'll find that this is the #1 complaint most folks have with the 2500.

Maybe I just need to stick with what I've got, but I looked at the Coinstrike a year or so ago when I was shopping, and this deal does look good.

Still have my Coinstrike.....gotta dust it off this weekend. I have a site about 30 miles away that is a 110yr old homestead...

Haven't had time lately to go out......<sigh>

Oh, so it took a Fisher post to lure ol' Purple out of the woods, eh? image

Yeah. You shouldn't be surprised that I, an old Garrett man, would consider a Fisher. I found my oldest coin with a Fisher 1280-X.
