Stman - Really not all that interesting. Good coin companies solve $25 problems - it's that simple. And, Paul is a very practical guy. I have little doubt any one that is upset with his auction house over $25 with a reasonable complaint will usually get the issue resolved. Wondercoin

wondercoin, well, I found it interesting that you tell the guy to mention he is one of his strong supporters on the pcgs message board, but then say don't mention this thread. Yes, to me...... it's interesting.

Actually, ILikeMercs, I do not believe there is anything hypocritical about my posts within this thread. PCC did not do his required homework yet continues to beat the drum within this thread that he was somehow wronged by Superior. While I do not know exactly what lot PCC bid upon, a glance through Superior's recently closed Live Ebay auctions shows that at least some of them (I have not checked all of them, but it is likely to be a standard format) clearly show a shipping charge of $25 per lot.
$25 PER LOT ????
I have already quit buying from superior for other reasons- $25 per lot is thievery if you purchase more than one lot.
Tom.....since you feel I'm directing this at you, I didn't say PCC is right, he DIDN'T do his homework. I'm saying that stated or not, it's a ridiculous fee. And I'm saying if it was a little guy he'd be labelled a scumbag. He'd be "reported" by the flock. You know it and I know it.
edit: and I didn't mean to single you or anyone else out, but on this board, well, you know how it works here.
I didn't believe you were directing the statement to me as an individual, but the way the post was worded included me and I do not believe I am a hypocrite in my response to this episode. That was why I responded to your post. Again, I agree that the fee appears exhorbitant.
<< <i>I avoid all live auction and auction style bidding like the plague. I refuse to pay the "JUICE". That is just BS. bob >>
If you refuse to pay the "juice" perhaps you could explain how the auction house makes any money on the deal? If you had any knowledge of how auctions work you would know to subtract 15% from the price for which you wish to buy the coin. Most of the coins are on consignment from dealers and collectors and the juice is the auction company's fee as knowledgable consignors don't pay any fee. Dave W
