Should the mint switch from platinum to palladium eagles?

Just a thought.
I for one wouldn't mind. I collect the 1/10 and 1/4 ounce right now but would love to be able to a buy a much more affordable 4 coin palladium eagle set.

I wish they would. That is a great idea. Palladium is under valued in my opinion. I would love to see a proof 4 piece palladium set!! I must add though keep the platinum too.

They could consider switching to palladium if they are losing money on platinum and there's more demand for palladium.

They could consider adding palladium if they are making money on platinum and there's enough demand for palladium that they can also make money there.
  • I like palladium.

I'm too lazy to google it...what is palladium good for and what's the rarity compared to gold and plat?

Keep the platinum series and add a palladium series.

So, you could suck on a catalytic converter, melt it down and wear it as a wedding ring and you'll be saving the envirnment, healing yourself of TB, and getting murdered at the same time?

Not switch, but I wouldn't mind if they added a palladium series.

When palladium has absorbed large amounts of hydrogen, it can swell up, like a sponge full of water, visible to the naked eye.

Sure thing, Wikipedia. BTW, your article on werewolves and vampires was great, too.

  • My wedding ring is palladium. Nice to know that the hydrogen was to blame for it getting tight and not the McDonalds I have been eating for lunch.
