Paypal Help

I won some auctions on ebay a couple of days ago from the same seller. His listing said there was a discount for shipping. I waited several days for him to send an invoice with the shipping discount. Finally after no invoice i paid through paypal and subtracted my own shipping discount. Within an hour of me paying i get this e-mail from the seller.

Unfortunately, eBay listed my correspondence address instead of my correct Paypal address: xxxxxxxxxxxx Please use this correct paypal address when making payments. Thanks & regards,

My question is, is this legit and if so how do i make sure i don't pay twice. I got a confirmation from paypal from the first payment.

Thanks

  • I would get the seller to refund the first payment. Then he could send you an eBay invoice with the PayPal link. If the problem is corrected, then you should be able to click the PayPal link and resend the payment to the correct address. However, I wouldn't do anything until the payment is refunded!

  • If the payment hasn't been claimed, you can cancel the payment and resend your payment....it will tell you then if the address is verified or not.......that is annoying though.

  • dude that sucks. what an incompetent seller. idiotic too.

before you pay again, make doubly sure that the first payment is cancelled or completely refunded.
