Old VS. New ANACS slabs

I've culled through the archives but I can't seem to find the answer to this... Does ANACS still net grade in their new slab or have they taken the tack that PCGS and NGC have gone and just bb coins that don't meet a certain standard...or... do they put "net-graded" coins in the old-style holders and describe what the problem is??? Thanks...Leo

Net graded in old holders last time I submitted to them, about 9 months ago. I'm sure someone with a more recent submission will chime in soon.

"No problem" coins go into their new holder.
"Problem" coins are NOT net graded. They are graded say VF-30 Details and the problem is listed below. Such as cleaned, scratched, corroded. These coins are slabbed in the old style holder.

Thanks for the clarification... so the "old-style" holders have never really gone away, they just don't assign a point deduction any longer for the problems assessed on the slab. Let me ask this question: Are coins in the "new-style" ANACS holders demanding as much as the PCGS and NGC slabbed coins? ANACS seems like the "ugly step-child"...

I think ANACS is in third place when it comes to price demand. Behind PCGS & NGC.

Their new slabs are used for both types now.....
Just got back a MS66 and a VF30-Cleaned/Scratched.
Both were in the same type of new slab

I just called ANACS and they told me that they just recently started using the "New Holder" for problem coins. She said that they will not be using the old, small holder anymore.

but their website still says they will go in the classic holders.
