What is the reason for the recent increase in Ford material under auction?

I'm stuck in a boring meeting with a bunch of lawyers, so I might as well ask a question here.

I really like the Stack's sales of Ford material. Within the last week I received three Ford catalogs. prior to this point, the Ford sales were held consistently but less frequently and with less material. Does anyone know if Ford material is just really hot right now? What accounts for the seemingly increase in material lately from the Ford collection?

    Since these are the last sales, I'm guessing that the family and/or Stacks wants to wrap it up by the end of the calendar year so that they can close out the estate.

    I agree, they've done 2 at once before, they're probably just trying to wrap it up.

    I was thinking of emailing Stack's and asking them. Think they'd give me an answer? I think it's what CaptHenway said. Where's CaptPiecost? He might have a different opinion.

    I expect Stack's wants to wrap it up quickly so they know what their future revenue and liability stream looks like - same as John Ford's heirs.
