This would be great, if it could be as all-inclusive as VCP's prices but at no cost?? I'd be excited! We'll check it out tomorrow!

I'm sure that this will be used by some to quote in their auctions on eBay. Interesting info, but not as useful as it could be, I think.

  • I'm almost positive that VCP contracts with eBay for the right to offer the completed auction prices. I can't believe SCD would pay the required fees and then turn around and offer them to the public for free.

On the other hand, I'll bet that every auction house would love to have their realized prices trumpeted, and offer their availability for nothing.

So I highly doubt that this is anything more than a compilation of prices you could find yourself if you felt like looking.

Not worthless, but it's not anything that I'm going to care about.

I tried a couple of searches, and while it certainly seems to work, they don't seem to be able to keep things straight. Prices show up with and without Buyer's premium. For Example:

Willie Mays Signed 1957 Topps Card #10 Baseball Autographs: Sports Cards $172 10/26/2006 Premier Auctions

1951 Bowman 306 Willie Mays RC (Grade 9.5) Baseball Autographs: Sports Cards $537 9/27/2006 Clean Sweep Auctions

I won both of these cards. The 57 Topps card was actually $146 + buyer's premium. The 51 Bowman Mays was $537 + buyer's premium. Yet the Premier result has the BP shown in the total while the CS auction does not. I guess it could be how the houses reported it, but it's still a bit odd.
