1982 Seven Series Price?

Howdy all, it's been a while since I've been in.... needed a break from the coins...

Anyway, I'm about to put some lower end coins up on ebay to build some 'credit' prior to selling my more expensive coins.

I've got a set of the 1982 series cents (P-LG, P-SM, P-LG-Z, P-SM-Z, D-LG, D-LG-Z, D-SM-Z). I read else where in the site that they are worth about 3$ for all if UNC.

Is this the case, are they worth more or should I just look them all up in Red/Blue book and add them up?

Thanks,

BN

  • I have a few sets in the shop at $4.95 and they seem to move when I have them.

I've seen them at about $5.00 as well. They are common, but nice to find a whole set together.
  • Ive been pulling 82 cents from circulation since 1990, and have a little over 9000 in a mint bag. Never looked at, just checked date and thru em aside.

now what to do with em

I used to pull them aside, too, but then I got to the point where I had too many, so I just spent them. image 9000 is a bunch of them Bill. Check them for doubled dies. I forget which one has the doubled die, but one of them do. I will have to check my records.

Throw in a 1982-S proof if you have one, might get a few dollars more.

It's the 82-P SD zinc that has the big new DDR worth a few K$. I'd give them a look. Also the same 82-P SD zinc rolls have gone crazy, unc rolls are up to about $50.

The sets are still about $5 in the holders.

any chance I can borrow your eyes for all this searching, mine have gone on strike image

I used to be able to read dates and see details on all coinage, but the minute I hit 40 3 years ago that was it.image
