How well do 3 day "Bulk Silver" auctions work out?

I have about 300 circulated Morgan & Peace dollars that I was thinking about auctioning off while the prices are up a little. Does time make much of a difference with type of auction? My luck prices would drop Friday afternoon.

  • I tried it once and took a beating. Never again.
  • I ran a couple a few weeks ago and did 20 a shot and only made $235 each auction....and they were mostly AU and low MS quality.

Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.

  • nucleo exchange Stick them on here if you can.

If you sell them on eBay I would weigh them and then figure out how many oz of silver will be present when melted. People
may be inclined to bid more. Do you post on the Kitco or BullionDirect message boards? (BullionDirect could sure use more posters)

I believe that ebay is your best bet. If you want to spread your market risk around, split them into 3 groups and offer them at different time intervals.

I've found that for bullion items, there are enough bidders that the greed vs. fear relationship works to make a fair and liquid market.
