autographed card---psa?psa-dna?

I am going to submit a bonds 87 topps that i had him autograph about 15 years ago. what is the best way to submit -it seems a little confusing to me?

there is:
PSA authentication and card grade --or no grade?
PSA-DNA?

what should I do?

thanks

  • Can you post a scan?
  • Submit the card here!

However if you had him sign it 15 years ago, the chances are your autograph might come back rejected.
His autograph has changed over the years and even though it may be genuine, it may get rejected by PSA/DNA.

PSA will authenticate the autograph and holder it. You can also have the card graded, your choice.
PSA/DNA will authenticate the autograph and also grade the autograph.

That's exactly what I was thinking and why I asked to see a scan.

For cards you can just use the regular form and check PSA/DNA and check graded or ungraded. The other PSA/DNA form is used mostly for items other than cards. I am waiting on a 20 card submission now.

i have 1950 bowman fb autos i need to do,27 so far to send , just wanting for a few more to come in, got one today
  • so it seems i should just send the card to the regular 20$ authentication --

but what about the grade -should i have it graded as well or not?

I did some research --i got the autograph in June 1988. i will try to scan it in tommorow.
  • send it in for $20. and request them to grade it. It's worth more and to your advantage if you decide to sell it later.

Don't tell PSA what the minimum grade requirement should be,
because if it doesn't meet their grade requirement, they won't
holder it and your out $20. Just leave the minimum grade blank.

Does Psa ever run Autogrraph specials ? I thought I remembered them doing a $10 special for autos not too long ago.

Does it matter to you if you get a red flip or a blue flip?

Red flip - submit to PSA
Blue flip - submit to PSA/DNA
  • I have never really understood having an auto graded.........i wouldn't pay more for a graded auto. Just get the authentication.....and enjoy it.
