OK I took a little bit of time, and did a better job with the photos. These are as close to in hand viewing as my feeble skills allow.

  • I'll be brutally honest regarding the ANACS-58 toned dime.

If you hadn't posted in the U.S. coin thread that you got it for $275, your chances would probably be better for a higher price. Once we know you got it for $275, it makes it much more difficult to pay the $525, even though it may be actually worth somewhat close to that price.

I understand that. But a coin is worth what a coin is worth. I just got done listing the dime and the high relief peace dollar and the rainbow Morgan on ebay 10 minutes ago.

While I would have liked to sell any of them here, I understand that even this place is just a blip on the Numismatic world, so after no action, they will all appear tonight on ebay at 9 pm est.
Morgan, and Peace dollar will run till sunday at 9 pm.

The Anacs dime will run for 10 days until next Sunday at 9 pm. I did set a reserve on this coin. If I cannot get what I want I will keep it.
The funny thing is I only had 1 offer on the dime, and it was not until after I just got done listing it. I would have accepted the offer, if the coin was not toned as it is, but is was at PCGS guidelines price, but does not reflect what I consider the coin to be worth.

The other coins in this ad, are still available here ONLY!

    Thanks Rob

The problem is that the value of a coin is different among people. If, let's say, you believe the coin to be worth $500, but the eBay bid goes up to only $350, is the coin worth $350 or $500? If you go to a toned coin specialist, let's say Anaconda, and he says it's worth $350 also, does that make the value $350 or something else?

Anyway, I digress, so best wishes on your auction.

Well, I tried Rob. I thought my offer was pretty reasonable. Good Luck with your auction. I think you are not going to make the moon money you are looking for. JMHO.

    Good Luck,
