IGA grading service....any opinions?

A member is selling a couple of Morgans on Ebay certified by IGA in 1986....anyone have an opinion on their grading? I am not familiar with the name.

  • I just replied to a thread about ANACS & ICG. There's comments in it about ICG that may help.

ICG is fine for circulated grades but why use them on higher grade coins? If you have a high grade coin get it in a PCGS holder to get the most money out of it. I vote selling NO; Buying YES.

Independent Grading Association was in business from 1986 to 1987. That's all I know about them.

Well, actually that name is familiar. I used to buy groceries at the local IGA store years ago.
