FS grades in. How did I do?

Does this reflect how hard it is to get a 70, or do I just suck in a bad or good way?

    Congrats on the MS70.image
  • Send the MS69's to NGC at least 75% will come back 70's. Now you see why PCGS 70's sell for considerably more!

Anyone know what the general ratio or odds of getting a 70 with pcgs is? Given I only made one, I would think I did worse than average.

Than again, I went cheap and submitted under the modern grading, do you think this had an effect?

Send the 69's back. I believe Russ stated,"If the grade don't fit then resubmit"

The PCGS pop reports show approximately 21% of the MW and AA mint state coins receive MS70 grades. At 10% you are obviously below that average, but truly if you simply had one more MS70 you would be right on target.

3 70`s on a 10 coin submission was my best. usually its 1 or 2 per submission.

the service level won`t make any difference(i thinkimage).

I wonder how many people look at the pop report seeing FS for Jeff nickels going way back and are amazed that there is such a fuss still today about those "first strikes".

The graders look at all coins equally, regardless of what service they were submitted under. If I were you, I'd be happy with what the grades were.
