For the buyers of the ABNCo plates-- can you post a picture of what you do with them?

I know that people on these boards feel strongly about the ABNCo plates that Stack's is currently auctioning in various sales. Some people call them junk. Others say they're just hyped up garbage with no resale value. Others say worse things. Personally, I think they are pretty cool, even though I have never seen one in person. I have been bidding on the ones that speak to me (maybe I have bigger issues, though image ), but my view of a reasonable price and others' views are obviously different because I have not won one yet. image

For those who have purchased plates, what have you done with them, in terms of displaying the pieces? I would like to get some with a similar theme and then get them framed. I don't know if anyone here has done that and what the framed pieces might look like. Does anyone have a picture of what they've done with these?

You can say that again! image

I have seen them in person and they are heavy. You would need a heavy duty frame to display it. I did bid on one in the Chicago sale, but didn't get it. My idea was to get a custom frame for displaying both the engraving plate and a published impression of the image.

My feeling on these items is that they are more valuable together than sold separately. If you have just one, it will probably be a rather esoteric item that is hard to resell. But if you have a bunch of them with a coherent theme, you can put a nice sale together as the Stack's folks have been doing.
