1952 Bowman Cello Packing

Good day,
Need some help from the Sports guy's on a Non Sport Question. I am currently working on a deal to get some Non Sport Bowman Cello packs from 1952-53. As stuff like this seldom come up I am deciding whether to go all in for these or if I should have concerns from Bowmans Cello wrapping damaging these cards? You Football and Baseball guys could please give me any info you might have from opening any of those from this era. I want to do the deal strictly to Slab the cards so even though in the pictures they look good am very wary of corner problems from the Cello being to tight. The Cello does not look to tight in the pictures of these I am working on.
Thanks
Neil

I have not opened (or seen in person for that matter) any cello's from that era; however, I offer this:

The pack is over 50 years old. Just think of where it has been, what it has seen, how it has been handled, how it has been stored, etc. The chances that it was stored in a drawer or box, untouched for the last 50 years are slim to none. The cello wrapping does not offer much corner protection. Unless you can view the packs in question in person, to examine the cornes, etc., I wouldn't count on mint cards.

I think the value of any pack remains only when it is unopened. I had a friend that opened a cello pack of '55 Topps football and don't think the resulting sales of the graded cards came anywhere near the value of the pack had it remained unopened.
If you're talking about '53 Bowman NBC stars, they are notoriously off center. IMO the best way to profit off of this purchase is to resell unopened.
I'm pretty sure there were '52 and '53 Bowman NS cello packs in the Rosen auction of 2005. Did these packs come from that auction? They were all GAI graded and state they are from Rosen's million dollar unopened find from Dearborn, Mi. on the back of the holder.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
