When/Can you leave a negative after NPB without recourse?

If, after the NPB process clears, can you leave a negative without fear of recourse?

Thanks.

  • They can still leave a neg, unless they go NARU as a result. However if they leave any feedback and never responded to the NPB complaint the comment will go on your profile, but it will count as nothing.
  • Once a strike is given as a result of a NPB, then that bidder can not leave feedback for that item. I have done this many times without any retalitory negatives. Don't leave the negative before the strike is given, otherwise he can leave a neg you as well. However, if eBay gives him a strike, then the neg will no count against your feedback, but the comment still stays. That is why I always wait until the strike is given to leave the neg.

I thought (and has been my experience) that once a strike was given as a result of a NPB, then that bidder could not leave feedback for that item. I have done this many times without any retalitory negatives.

Unfortunately, you're wrong. Even after a BPB strike has been filed AND processed your bum-of-a-bidder can still leave you (retalitory) feedback. Consider yourself lucky VintageTopps. Just about the only way to avoid it is if the bidder gets NARU'd... but then feedback doesn't matter at that point anyway.

ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!

  • If they do not repsond to the NPB alert then they can leave feedback and it don't count. If they do repsond in anyway they can leave any FB they want.

You are correct! I researched it on eBay's website and this is what they have to say: "Though it happens rarely, there are some circumstances when members can lose Feedback privileges. When a buyer fails to respond to an Unpaid Item notification and the seller issues an Unpaid Item strike against them, the buyer can still leave a Feedback comment, but the Feedback rating they leave for the transaction will not appear and will not count toward the seller’s Feedback Score."

So yes, they can leave feedback - but the comment itself really doesn't count for anything and will not affect your rating

I just assumed that since I had never been left a retalitory negative, then the buyer wasn't allowed to leave feedback once the strike had been given.
