Yeah right, they mention PCGS in the listing at least TWO times if not more, They are KEYWORD spammers, nothing more, wont be getting a bid from me.......

The Goldbergs are not spammers. The PCGS coin number (3340) is for reference to pop reports and registry sets.

Looks like one of their typical photos. My guess is that if you tilt the coin the toning is there brighter, with more luster and not as soft as they show it.

man ....some of you guys crack me up!

you'd rather not bid on a obvious desirable coin...because somebody goofed (intentionally or not) on "Stupid EBAY protocal" or some silly minor rule infraction!

then to go further to announce that you'll pass on anything they EVER have for sale because of this transgression...y'all need to lighten up!

I was thinking about bidding on this coin, because toned 1938-36 proof lincolns are very hard to find, but the thing that turned me off is the spot to the left of Lincoln on the obverse. It looks fine in the close up pics, but on the full slab shot, it is much more pronounced and sticks out a lot. It would be interesting to see what it looks like in person.

Those pics are a strange way to promote a coin. I can get a mental pic by comparing the slab pic with them and come away with , it's a very nice coin. Kinda brings back memories. The '38 PR was the first PCGS coin I bought, years ago. Mike

I viewed a bunch of their coins yesterday, although I didn't look at this one. In general I think it's fair to say
that their toner photos don't accurately depict the coins in real life. Non-toner images are comparable to Heritage, Stacks etc.
Their photos grossly accentuate the toning of the coins and whatever rainbow effect the coin has. I would not bid on any of their toners unless I was able to personally view the coin. Needless to say their toners in the budget/bulk auction sold for obsene amounts of money.
