Chargers=most disappointing team 2007?

Come on chargers...needed you to come up big and knock off the pack and get rid of another undefeated NFC team. Unlimited talent and you are 1-2?

Bucs roll easily to another win, climbing to 2-1. The same team many predicted to win only 4 games are halfway there after 3 weeks.

Indy predictably wins over an outgunned and outclassed texans team.

Philly wins despite the most horrific uniforms ever worn on an NFL field...a close second was the abomination that the steelers wore last week. Detroit showed they are still detroit.

Overall an exciting first half of week 3....

Norv turner should never get another head coaching job . . thrived as a OC but did have a very talented offensive unit to work with

Bucs look good so far this year, Garcia has made a difference

Andre Johnson missing the game hurt the Texans big time today.. Texans actually beat Indy last year in Houston

Philly uni's were the worst i've ever seen. Nice win for them today however

I wouldn't agree that they are the most disappointing team of 2007. I think it depends on if the Saints win on Monday or not. I think that the most disappointing player of 2007 so far is LT though.

The Eagles are this year honoring the teams 75th anniversary and also their predecessors in Philly football, the Frankford Yellow Jackets hence the retro uni. If you read some pro and college football history you'll see a trend in the 30s and 40s toward bright colors and satin like material. One college team comes to mind, St. Mary's from California? In a biography on Vince Lombardi they describe a new uni that St. Mary's rolled out when Lombardi played for Fordham.

    Yellow Jackets History

I believe that the Yellow Jackets colors corresponded with the colors of the Philadelphia city flag.

Axtroll can't be concerned with history or facts. He just spews the usual garbage ad infinitum.

I'd have to count the Rams as one of the most disappointing teams. This coaching staff is wasting the weapons they have and, at the same time, the O-Line and secondary have been decimated by injuries -- both starting corners and 3/5ths of the O-Line.

    0-3 sucks!

Duh who didn't know that these were throwback jerseys, much like the horrendous ones Pittsburgh wore last week. I simply said they were hideous and the ugliest uni's I've ever seen in my life (yes, far worse than the creamsicle jerseys the Bucs used to wear).

Way to see grote not adding to the conversation, as usual.

Listen Brian, it's obvious that you are the only one here who can satisfy yourself. Perhaps you can spend less time here and more time devoted to giving yourself oral favors. Don't forget to don the throwback "Gus the Gay Pirate" Bucs helmet before you begin.

History is to be respected and honored. The Eagles were doing just that today. Ugly? Who cares. They were not going to invent some new uni to appease those who may not agree with the look.

You may have chosen to take the field in a taffeta Vera Wang frock colored appropriately for the season, but the Eagles chose to stick with tradition.

So because I called out the unis for what they were (atrocious, hideous) that gives you the right to pop like that? Get over yourself.

I didn't see the steeler fan(s) upset because I called their unis ugly last week...it's called having an opinion. Sorry that you feel I am trashing your team (I'm not) or your fragile ego - those unis were god awful.

I provided some history and mentioned nothing about your opinion of the unis.

You provided the usual inane "duh, blah blah blah, " "ya dope," "retard," "idiot," "insert Axhole's favorite buzz insult of the week here" response.

That response deserved answer in kind.

Fragile ego? Not a chance. Fragile egos are reserved for "communications specialists" who don't make a sale.

I stand by my comment that those are the ugliest unis I've ever seen, historical or not.

No one here cares what you were responding to. Soft and Dallas have you pegged perfectly. Why someone who's been banned multiple times from these boards to keep crawling back is truly pathetic, much like your cell-phone selling "existence".

Norv Turner is such a horrible head coach that it's actually kind of hard to consider the Chargers that much of a disappointment. He might be the only guy who actually makes fans wistful for the glory days of Marty Schottenheimer.

I didn't expect much more than 7-9 or 8-8 from the Rams, but they're considerably worse than expected. I don't know who's at the top of the draft class this year, but at this point, St. Louis could be a contender for the pick, which we'd probably just squander on another no-impact DT.

The rams ran the ball exceptionally well today, but they just couldn't finish...also two missed field goals didn't help. Jackson had a 100+ day, but no passing attack whatsoever.

Jackson was OK, but the passing game was horrid. Not that there was much to begin with, but I think the team has already quit on Scott Linehan. I was probably one of the last few Martz fans in St. Louis, but I think people here are starting to realize how fortunate we were to have a coach who called an aggressive game and who inspired that kind of swagger. Linehan just looks like a befuddled loser out there.

Bulger was great and hardly threw any picks last year, but had what, 3 today?

Also have to put up the Bengals as an early season disappointment.

Norv Turner is trash. He will ruin that team and LT will be forced to play at the peak of his career for a worthless coach that will get them nowhere. And for what they did to Marty Schottenheimer, they will deserve it.

    You stay classy, San Diego.
