Yep, the village idiot usually is.

    He relisted.

I had forgotten Gary - couldn't remember your CU ID.

But, I do have a question?

    image

These packs don't "stack" right - they should be flush with the box - why are they slightly bloated?

Mr Wizard thinks - no matter how well ya try to repack your Christmas gift - after finding it in the top closet and just can't resist a little peak - ya just never get it quite right?

A lousy resealing job to be sure. The corner folds on those packs look pathetic. What a tool.

    Gary,

Since it appears you are reading the boards daily, I'm still waiting for a response to this question:

How did you decide whose money you would refund from the football rip? Why did you never reply to my emails, PMs, or Paypal claims? I'm still wondering what I did/didn't do in order to make the cut?

These reseals are the famous 12 cards to a pack or even rarer with early 80's fleer gum.........

    Wow someone bought the cards!
  • TomTimTomTim Posts: 152 ✭✭✭
    DetroitFan,
I received a refund for the football rip and then returned the cards to him (without wrappers!). I had already contacted his local police and they were literally waiting for me to return their call for the next step. Remember, Gary is an idiot and will only respond to fear, not reason.

At that price, and that quickly, I doubt it's someone who is serious.

  • detroit fan pm sent. i sent refunds ouit of good faith because people said they would send cards back and only 3 people sent cards back out of 20 so i stopped refunds untill cards were recieved and no one else had asked for a refund

How can anyone buy from someone with such low feedback? Even someone who doesn't know the story would have to think twice before buying "unopened" boxes!? Crazy.

For a scam like this it has to involve two people trying to scam one another - a buyer thinking he's getting over on the seller, and vice versa.

How ebay allows feedback ratings that low to continue to sell is beyond me.
  • Gary, clearly you are not welcome here. No one wants to hear your lame excuses. It's a shame that the powers that be don't ban you from these boards. You are everything that is wrong with this hobby. Go away!

wow love the color differences in the wax packs. Pack on far left definately has seen more sun and wear then the others. This box is truly awful. I wish there was a way an expert like Steve Hart or others could report obvious fakes to ebay and h ave the sellers auctions cancelled and banned from ebay.

i still have some of Gary's packs from the original baseball rip unopened and untouched....wouldnt that be neat if PSA would allow me to grade these packs to prove they were tampered with??? Anybody got any connections at PSA???

But ya gotta understand the way clever scammers operate. They usually don't scam people all the time, and it's usually just some of the time, or even just once in awhile...usually when overall they can reap the most profit.

I agree with Steve. My impression was that Gary was sending out some legit packs, but that as time went on, he began getting more brazen with his resealing, buying lots of wrappers and lots of semi-stars and commons on ebay.

Yeah I think he ripped a box until he hit a few nice cards and then resealed those packs and also sent the unopened ones that were not likely to have any big stars or rookies. I might also guess that he sent the untampered packs to board members who he thought may collect packs or submit them for grading.
  • how can PSA let this clown post on their message board after he RIPPED YOU ALL OFF?

There should be an organized bombardment of this clowns auctions with multiple EBAY accounts and drive this scumwad into the depths of hell. He is a liar and a thief and if he had scammed me and NOT returned my money he'd be in a hospital bed.
