New coin & pic.

Received another looker from Bill. This was a pain to shoot, since the coin is 1. Slabbed, 2. Lustrous and 3. Toned... I noticed that I was able to capture any 2 characteristics, but not all 3 together. If I got rid of glare from the slab by re-positioning the lights, it would no longer reflect either the luster or color properly. This is the image I decided to go with (before I take a hammer to this slab in frustration). I was able to capture the color and underlying luster, but some slab glare remained.

My favorite grade, too - AU58. Thank again, Bill

As for cp who feels your pain, he's the best slab photographer, I've ever seen, his pictures don't let you think that a slab was there to begin with. But you too are becoming better everytime.

Thank you for a compliment, Dimitri. I'm talking about the other Bill - WWW. CP is awesome! Seeing his pictures on these boards and in his eBay shop was one of the reasons I got into coin photography in the first place.
