1889 Morgan Double Ears

Well, I just spent the morning trying to attribute some double ear 1889-P Morgans out of a roll i recently picked up,Not for the faint of heart.Here i am with all my tools,VAM-VIEW,Leroy's Vam Book,VAMWORLD and last but not least,ASH's site.Thought i found some pretty good ones and could'nt wait to see what Vams i had found.Guess what i'm still waiting,could'nt attibute any one of them with confidence that it was the right number.I figured it was time to stop when the dog started giving me funny looks with all the muttering that was going on. Time to go back to Peace Dollars where i feel secure. Have any of you had the same problems with this date and attribution?

Leroy publishes a Guide to attribute 1889-P Doubled ears...and yes, they are very difficult to do.

Start with the date position. Is it normal, near, very near, far or very far date? You can look up these definitions in the VAM book. Once you establish the date position, you can filter it down a bit.
