Need help identifying coins.

My Krause only goes from 1901- present, The tenth edition. I think the one coin is from Germany and the other I believe is from Great Britain , but i am not sure . Could you give me what country they are from, approximate worth, alloy , and denomination. Thanks for any help.

  • #1, German State of Franfurt am Main, KM#379, 18.52g, .900 silver Thaler, mintage 207,000, $20 F, $40 VF.

Values are from the 19th Century 2001 3rd Ed.

#2, Great Britain, George III. Possibly a six pence, shilling or 1/2 crown. What is the size?

  • 32.5 mm is the diameter. Thank you for your help.
  • 14.1380g sterling (.925) silver 1/2 crown, KM#667, mintage 8,093,000. The lowest grade valued is F ($12.50), so my guess is that a dealer would sell yours for bullion value (~$5.50).

I like the Frankfurt piece. Even though I have seen higher grade ones, that one has character.
