Is this an early PCI holder?

Any idea when these were used? Is there a premium for this early type of holder?

They were started in 1989 as Photo Certified Institute. So, looks like it.

No, but chances are the coin is accurately graded.

They started overgrading with the gold slabs, before then they were generally consistent with PCGS and NGC.

According to the SampleSlab site myqqy and cmerlo1's dremel slab are 1st generation and strikers is 2nd.
I'm going by the cert. nr. on the front or not on the front. I guess.

I really don't know. There's several members here that know
about samples. I'm hoping one of them will chime in and tell
us for sure. I wonder if Myqqy's has a cert nr. on the back.
