Do you suppose that those spots are from dip residue? Methinks someone bought the holder and not the coin.

I had an 1876 MS66 Trade Dollar a couple years ago. The pops were similar to the 74, but my coin only brought 12k

If your coin only brought $12k, then it must have been NGC. And there's a huge difference between the 1876 & the 1874 in gem and higher.
