I've heard of getting "bit by the bug", but the creature that bit you is closer to Jaws, I think. image

    Cool roman newps!
MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

    Nice additions!

Don't try to do too much too fast, that can make your burn-out.

That Faustina II denarius is a crappy substitute for the EF45-AU50 piece I once owned before I collected these, but oh well. It was nice and cheap.

    I'm having fun. image

I'm sure it will. I have two or three big-ticket purchases in the pipeline, including an Otho denarius, should my $1,500 sale of a bunch of Darkside silver and gold to my uncle go through.

After that, I might burn out and shelf it for a month or so, like when I kinda took a break back in July.

Fear not, though- the Roman coin interest has a lot more staying power than my brief dalliance with AU Liteside classic commems. There is so much to learn and lots and lots of things to keep me active and learning and expanding. I don't know if this will be a lifelong pursuit, but I would imagine I am in it for the long term. ("Long term" for me meaning at least three to five years, haha).

I feel the gears shifting back towards detecting again soon, now that the nice Indian summer weather is upon us.
