Heard today that Cecil Cooper, former Brewer (and good friend of Bud Selig) is throwing out 3 consecutive rookie pitchers in their set against the Brewers. One of the pitchers is a replacement for Oswalt, but the other two really don't have any explanation for being out there, other than Cooper having more affinity for his old boss than preserving the integrity of the game.
Quite curious that he'd be so blatant about this. I guess this is Cooper's payment for Selig coming out and essentially telling the Astros he should be their permanent manager.
If you're a Cubs fan I'd be livid.

And where did you hear this, hmmm? Was it PTI, a 15-second blip in ESPN, or just another conspiracy theory that you made up?
Just to prove you wrong, once again...
Last week, we played against the Cubs and pitched Backe coming off Tommy John surgery, a 4-9 with a 6+ ERA Alberts, and a 40+ year old 5+ ERA +/- 200 IP Williams. For some odd reason, the Cubs didn't have a problem facing them but should be "livid" about who we pitched against the Brewers?
So tell us who should have pitched the last three games.
Wandy, best case, would have pitched on 3-days rest if he played yesterday. Throughout the year and career, he's a 5+ day starter since they normally skip him in the rotation.
Backe pitched Sunday (91 pitches) and as stated earlier, coming off Tommy John surgery. No way he pitches.
Patton, our stud rookie, is shut down for the season. As is Jennings, Williams, and maybe even Roy-O.
All that's left are young players, who were called up when the rosters expanded. Considering we have major holes in our rotation, we need to give these kids a look and give them valuable experience. All teams out of contention start using their younger players and give the vets an occasional breather. If you say otherwise, it just goes to show what little you know about baseball.
So Mr. Know-It-All, please enlighten those who actually follow the team. Making wild accusations like that without any substance is irresponsible, ignorant, and beyond pathetic. And if we were tanking games, how come we won last night?
Proving you wrong is just so dang easy

Way to go, Mr. Grammar Cop. Did you mean "If you're a Cubs fan, you should be livid." or "If I was a Cubs fan, I'd be livid."?
Oh and PS:
Your sig line has to be one of the most, if not the most, ironic and hyprocritical statements posted on these boards.
<< <i>I pity the front-running, bandwagon fan who has no connection to a team, just to a win. They are more consumed with a win than the team, root more for the win than they do the team. It's a pathetic, miserable sports existence. >>
You have ZERO connections to "your" teams and you talk more trash about other teams than discuss your flavor of the month.
If you could look up that statement in the dictionary, there would be a picture of you.
This is the first time you've posted about 'your' astros in MONTHS.
So not only are the astros a terrible team, now they are affecting the integrity of the game. What a proud 'fan' you must be.
<< <i>I already stated I heard it, it's not 'my' theory...but it seems AWFULLY convenient that Cooper, close bud to the commish, would roll out three dopes in what could determine the division winner when Selig's already come out and essentially told the astros that Cooper needs to be the next manager.

Huh?
Still waiting for you to refute my complete and total ownage of your conspiracy theory.
<< <i>Astros suck. What the heck happened? >>
The same type of inept management that infects the houston texans is what happened. Now they have a mole for Selig planted at the manager's seat, which I see a huge conflict of interest seeing as the brewers and astros play in the same division.
After Years Of Struggling... It Took Only 3 WEEKS!"
"Hi Cliff,
You Rock!! After years of struggling with my fatty chest, going crazily at the gym and eating like a bird, it took only 3 WEEKS to flatten my chest with your program! Rock hard chest baby!! You can crack an egg on it now, well not that I've tried.
I know it's really designed for guys with bigger chests than me, but hey, it worked for me.
I'll send you more pictures in a couple of week!!
Thanks for this awesome program,"

make sure your wrap your head and trailer with aluminum foil to keep the thought police away.
If ignorance is bliss you must be the happiest dumbass in the world. First you start a thread in an attempt to provoke someone you dislike, then when your theory blows up in your face you respond by posting another comment that is intended to incite. Seriously, do you realize how small and stupid this makes you look.
I know, i know, if i don't like what you write don't read it. The reason i read it is to see if you ever say anything that remotely makes sense.
