just get it over with and submit all 100 coins at once, or should I selectively divide them into perhaps four or five groups and submit them at different times?

I guess I didn't make it clear, but I have about 100 US coins, varying from early high grade type, to 'modern' Franklin halves.

I'm asking this because I feel that I may get different grades depending on whether all or part of these coins are submitted at once.

Second guessing what's going to happen once they get to the grading room doesn't seem like a good approach. The only thing I have ever seen on this boards that would have an effect is "...depends on which grading team is grading..."

How good are you at grading? If not very good, I would send a batch of coins in and let them come back, then study the coins and see why they grade at each level, and become fully aware at the standards in a specific series, and compare different coins I was thinking about sending in, and reevaluate the ones you haven't sent in yet to determine the grade, and then whether it's worth it or not. Just an idea.

I blindly bought 1936-42 proof coins for a while, PCGS/NGC slabbed coins based on their number on the slab. I sat down for a few hours examining each coin and comparing, looking at why each coin got the grade it did. I found this EXTREMELY beneficial and greatly helped my grading skills.

Don't forget the free 8 coin voucher. I would only send 20 at a time with the voucher. For a total of 28 coins to PCGS in one box. But the voucher 8 coins free will need additional postage for return trip back to you after PCGS grades them. That is 20 coins on one order and 8 free voucher separately all in one box to PCGS.

I would break up the order. Why chance losing the whole lot if the postal service screws up. Yeah, I know you get the insurance but still, it's nice to know they can only lose some of them. I'd go with a full PCGS box worth at a time if not fewer. Just my opinion.....
