UPS Delivery problems - finally figured out where my packages are!!

You won't believe this......

I have ordered several itmes (display trays, cases of flips, etc) for selling coins as I am starting to sell more, and taking a table at my first show this Saturday. Over the past month, I have ordered supplies, including 4 Allstate cases and haven't received them yet. I called Brent Krueger and they have filed a claim with UPS, but that won't help me get my display cases or trays by Saturday. I even posted a thread here to try and get some trays by this Saturday.

Guess what? My wife just found them - in our outhouse besides our house!!! We hadn't opened that door in over 2 years. We have a shed besides the house, then that old abandoned outhouse. I had called UPS looking for the packages and all they could tell me that is was delivered at such a time at this date, at the side door. I did look around our house, in the bushes, side door and even the shed. But I never thought to look in the outhouse, since that is farther back from the house.

And get this, there were 3 packages in there!! One they just delivered yesterday - which I had no clue it had been delivered. And one from this past x-mas (presents that we never knew were even sent!!)

So, how many of you think a side door, or shed would have been better than putting packages in an old abandoned outhouse!?!?! At the least, I would think the UPS guy could have left a note saying where they were!!

Put locks on the outhouse and shed; it won't happen again.

Seems like an appropriate place to put your crap. imageimage

We've had UPS just drop the package in the garage and never even ring the doorbell. It was a complete surprise that we decide to go out and there's a box behind the car. This has happened more than once.

UPS won't come up my driveway any more. I wonder if it's because I called them to clean up the (BIG) branches they broke off a few trees on the way up last time...

If the gift was a fruitcake.... i'm sure it is still good and you can give it as a gift this year.image
  • Maybe your UPS driver is trying to tell you what he thinks of coin dealers?

  • I found Fed X left a package in my BBQ grill that I left on the front porch in the winter, January, it was April when I found it. After this Fed X would not leave a package at my door unless it was signed for, so I had them send to my parents house to keep from going to Fed X to get my packages.

Leaving packages in an outhouse sounds like a crappy way to run a business to me.

    Glad you finally located them.

  • Why didn't the UPS person leave you one of those sticky notes saying where he left the package? You'd think he'd do something when he saw old packages sitting there for months.....

You're just lucky they can find your house. The numbers on my street are so screwed up FedEx never finds my house......then they send a notice via USPS. The damn driver should just stop at the post office or town hall and ask......I paid for overninght service and it took 4 days of arguments on the phone to get it delivered....they wanted me to pick it up at the depot 15 miles away......for the $20 I want that delivered to my house.
  • Uhhhhhh......... You should seriously look into this new fangled thing called "indoor plumbing"

Maybe it was a deluxe two-seater model. Duluth is a bit more upscale these days.

Don't feel bad, Geoman. I'm sure there are plenty on here who haven't seen their packages for years. image

Maybe we should all go on UPS hunts, and see if we have any missing Christmas presents!
