I think the mint is in a quandry. They could set 795.00 and be outpriced in days. I also noticed the proof ounce is no longer available.

My guess is $809 for the W unc and $829 for the W proof. When? Who knows.

They could also, as some have suggested, just to stop production on the gold W's until...

If the Mint raises the price of W unc AE to $809, W proof to $829, then the proof Buffalo has to be raised as well ... to $849 probably

If they have already bought and paid for it at some earlier lower price why should it matter. If they are buying at current spot thats a different story.

These things were not moving at all before the gold price surged and all of them look to have lower mintages than the spouses

The 1 oz gold Proof has been sold out for a few months. Has nothing to do with the price of gold and will not be available until the 2008 is minted.
