How much for those Presidential dollars.

Some guy called me today and had 10 of the new Washington Gold Dollars. He wanted to know if I would pay $88 each for them. Someone told him that is what they are worth. I asked him if he could read the writing on the edge. He said "O'h ya, you can read it really good!" Imagine how hard it was not to start laughing! There shold be an award for that!

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Apparently a non-numismatist who thinks they're really gold. This is a common misconception amongst the general public, surprisingly.

PS- find out who the person is who told him they worth 88 bucks apiece, and offer that person a special half-price deal for 44 bucks a pop. image

Not likely, but they could also have been one of those '24 kt gold plated'. All of the state quarters I've seen gold plated must be worth at least that, right? image
