For a modern repo, I think the mint did a reasonably good job of reproducing the image of Liberty. They took some creative license with the hair curls and nose, but all in all, not bad.

What say you?

Call me crazy, but that's about the prettiest coin this country has produced in a century or two. Of course, I have always loved the Draped Bust design, and Thomas Jefferson is perhaps my favorite American, so I have an admitted bias, but I really like that coin.

Her neck seems too long, and her nose a little big, and her shoulder and bust too small in comparision with her head, but not at all bad.
Sure better than some of the other designs.

Five cents, I agree with you. Unfortunately there is about two-and-a-half to three orders of magnitude difference in price.

I got my medals in the mail yesterday, can't wait for the gold, Looking at the medal you get no impression of it being part of the First Spouse series, this one can stand on it's own.

I finally got my medals today after waiting for 2 weeks. I think they look great, especially considering the price. Looking forward to getting the gold, hopefully next week

coinJP, I think you nailed it. The hair detail is much closer to that of the half cent than to that of the dollar. Way to go!
