Hello I am new to these forums and been reading about the
cheerios dollar. A nyone know if the pattern
dollar was given out by Walmart employees as well?

Walmart received and distributed regular Sacagawea dollars. I went there and got some in January of 2000, and noticed that the reverse design was different than some pieces I had seen at a press conference in October of 1999. I later surmised that because the Cheerios dollars would have had to have been produced and packaged months earlier than the regular issue coins, they might have the earlier version reverse that I had seen. This was eventually confirmed.

i think the story goes is that General Mills got one pattern and
Walmart got of millions of the common issue type

Ive already gone 2010 Sacs of just the 2000P's and yet to find one
of course they are mixed up with other dates also including SBA's
I have a spreadsheet to keep track of my total count i look thru
