Every once in a while.....

We get lucky. I had no clue this was an overdate when I sent it in. Bought it as a common Unc.

That's the VAM 11 coin. Grey Sheet Ask for a regular 1880-S in MS63 is $39, but here are the actual sales prices of the last six PCGS VAM 11s I have records for in that grade:

    1880-S 11 63 PCGS Feb-07 E $123
    1880-S 11 63 PCGS Feb-07 E $104
    1880-S 11 63 PCGS Jan-07 E $103
    1880-S 11 63 PCGS Feb-07 E $82
    1880-S 11 63 PCGS Aug-07 E $80
    1880-S 11 63 PCGS Feb-07 E $77

    Congratulations!
    When in doubt, don't.

Did you think it was an MS63 when you sent it in? If so, why slab it? Since it is an overdate, you'll probably be in a profitable situation on paper anyway.
