I will never get over all the media guys and owners pretending they didn't know the locker rooms were filled with guys taking steroids. I was also taken off guard at the public being surprised in general, but I guess lots of people had never thought about it. To my understanding at the time it was completely common knowledge and not a hidden topic throughout the 90s. Local sports guys talked about it, it was common topic amongst my friends that had some athletic success and I remember it being a topic in the gym when McGwire had the Achilles injury. Then after cashing in on the attention the HRs generated, everyone acted like it was news to them and condemned the guys who got caught using PEDs. Stay classy baseball writers. Stay classy broadcasters. Stay classy Selig.
