O.J. Arrested - Faces 7 Felony Counts

Text

Be interesting if he has the resources to assemble another 'dream team' to get him off, or if he will actually serve time.

I am putting together a set of autographed mini-helmets from the top 25 all-time NFL rushers and it absolutely pained me to have to pay for O.J.'s signature. The thought that I indirectly put money in this scumbag's pocket sucks. In the end I obviously decided that the significance of the collection being complete, regardless of my personal feelings, was worth it. But from a personal perspective, the sooner this creep is in jail... regardless of what for... the better. He has some long overdue karma to pay.

  • Did you ask O.J. if you should make the check out to Fred Goldman.
  • Trumped up charges.

    He's a victim.

if he serves time, my guess is the Goldman family will have the resources to ensure OJ gets proper treatment behind bars, no matter how long or short his sentence.

It would depend on whether they really owned it or not.

Would it? I mean is it really okay for someone to just barge in to your place like that regardless of the ownership issue? We have laws so that people don't take matters into their own hands. >>

In most states, it's legal to tresspass on someone elses property in order to retreive your own property.

But it's not legal to do it with firearms, or to do it with threats like what seems to have happened according to the secret audio tape.

I love the incident a few years ago when OJ took calls on a radio station:

Caller: "Hey Juice, do you remember when you played for the 49'ers?"

    OJ: "Yeah, I sure do."

Caller: "Did you kill Bill Walsh?"
    Ron Burgundy

    Buying Vintage, all sports.
Buying Woody Hayes, Les Horvath, Vic Janowicz, and Jesse Owens autographed items

If someone came barging into my house (without knocking) claiming anything they'd get a Louisville Slugger across the chops.

But we can't sidestep the real issue. Now O.J. cannot pursue the real killers! Wonder how he was doing with that?

Unfortunately for OJ he picked the wrong state to try for self help, meaning taking the law into your own hands. The courts in Nevada defined a form of kidnapping as luring someone to a place and holding them against their will. When he was heard on audio tape telling his thugs not to let anyone leave the room he sealed his own fate. Add in the presence of two guns, which he made at best a dubious claim that he wasn't aware of then you created a long prison term for yourself.

This wasn't a case of retrieving your stuff on your own property, it was in a hotel room which someone else had rented. Secondly he admits on tape that these items were by his own admission secreted away from the Goldman's. By admitting this he brought into question whether or not he was the legal owner. His own words convicted him. Now whether the prosecutors went overboard on the charges, especially with his co-defendant is a matter for debate. After 13 years if he didn't realize he had to mind his P's & Q's then again he has no one but himself to blame.
