What's the best way to sell a mid-grade 1968 Topps BB Set?

I'm trying to get some opinions on which way to go with a 1968 Topps BB set that I'm selling. It's a mid-grade set, with most of the commons in about EX condition, with some of the stars being less - perhaps G-VG on some. I'm wondering if it's better to sell it all together as a set, or break it up by selling the top 15 cards or so, plus possibly the Tigers team set, and then selling the rest as a lot.

I've included a scan to show some of the bigger dollar cards. I know the scan is a little small. I think I could definitely get more if I break it up, just wondering if you think its worth the trouble or not?

I appreciate any advice.

Thanks - Andrew

I would try to sell the set as a whole on ebay. Make sure to include scans and descriptions of the major cards and any shortprints or varations that may be in the set. I don't know if broken lots will move the commons as well as you want them to. Just a suggestion.........Good Luck andrew...............nice set in my opinion..........Rob

  • I'd say sell as a set. Probably need a higher grade to break up and do any better than the set price you'll get. If I were buying I'd want to see at least four all-stars (Aaron, Clemente, Yaz & Gibson), major Tigers especially the team card, some high numbers especially Palmer and the ones you have up. Good Luck!!

You could try to sell the stars individually and the set minus stars together. I doubt you will get bids for the singles in that condition. Probably best to sell as complete set.

    I vote for set.

Too bad I don't have a grand laying around because I'd probably buy it from you if I did.

    Wife & her freakin' priorities...

  • If I was selling I'd go the team set route.
USN 1977-1987 * ALL cards are commons unless auto'd. Buying Britneycards. NWO for life.
  • In that condition, I'd go the full set route too.
