Selling some coins at show tomorrow... Help with prices.

I am taking several coins with me to sell at a show tomorrow. I would appreciate your opinions on current prices.

1837 Half in NGC xf40

2000 Cent Proof Reverse Anacs MS66RD

1956 Franklin PCGS PF64 Type 2

I have several other Lincoln Cents for sale as well, but have those prices pegged. I know it is easier with pictures but I do not have time to tale pics. If possible, help without pics would be great.

Hi ---- not sure about the two moderns...as for the Bustie...I wouldn't expect a dealer to offer more than bid which is $160...unless it is real PQ, you can expect offers of 10 to 20% behind bid from most dealers...

...if it is a nice original problem free coin, I suggest you 'shop' it around until you get full bid for it... and if someone offers over bid...jump on it...

I understand your question, What I don't understand is that you don't have a figure in your head about what you will accept or reject. It's like buying coins,........What am I willing to pay and when do I walk away.........Rick

I do have figures in my head. Trying to figure out what is in everyone else's head!

$160-175 is the normal range for XF-40 RE half. If 100% orig and problem free maybe you could stretch $175-200 out of a dealer who can offer up to a customer for $200-$225. I purchased a very orig and pretty XF for $180 a few years ago and had no problem getting $195 for it from a dealer. But most XF40 NGC circ type is pretty marginal in my experience. I wouldn't pay bid for most of it. But in the end it comes down to quality. There are XF-40's that are worth $300 (though very few) and some worth $150 at best.

not the best time to sell to dealers, you might not get a decent offer close to bid. So sell em here on the bst board.

After looking at the RE Half again, there seems to be a very long die crack starting from the "C" in Cents following the edge of the coin all the way to the "S" in States.

Is this a known variety or just a isolated coin?
