I need help on trying to find out what this would be worth?

I was cleaning out some stuff from my friends parents house this morning. I found an old saw and in the box was a manual. "How to be a better hitter" by Ted Williams. Made by Sears and it is 16 pages black and white. It is in perfect condition no wrinkles or fading. It looks like it has been there for many years. I have no clue if it is worth anything or not. I tend to believe it would be worth a little something though. There is no connection with the saw and the manual. The manual has nothing to do with any kind of saw. It focuses only on becoming a better hitter. It is an interesting read and has a great picture of Ted on the front. If anyone can give me a clue on what something like this is worth if anything let me know. Your help is appreciated.

  • What kind of saw is it? Is there a name on it?

Really - I collect old saws.

    That's really cool!

Not sure what it's worth. Since it's in good condition, a Teddy collector would want it - does it have his pic on the manual?

Back in the 50s, I believe, Williams was contracted with Sears and his likeness was used with some of their products.

    Did you check ebay?

60s for Ted with Sears also. I still have a bunch of free weights with Ted's name on them from when I was a kid.

  • Yes it has his picture on the cover. It is a nice picture of him. I am buying a new scanner tonight so I will be able to scan it. I am looking to sell it or trade it as well.
