Which decade is/was the best decade in NBA History. I think we are far enough along in this decade to include it.

My vote goes for the 90's being the best. That was a decade when I was glued to the TV to watch Michael Jordan and the Bull's dynasty. I think the 80's is a close second with the Magic, Bird, and Jordan era. I think a good debate would be the 2000's vs the 1960's. Today's players are much better on an individual basis, but teams played like teams back in the 60's.

    Gotta go with the late 60's and early 70's. That is when the Knicks were great and won their only 2 championships. A close 2nd would have to be the 1990's as I am a huge Jordan fan and the Knicks came so close. Jordan was the best to ever step on a BB court.

    I'm going to have to say the 1980s. Magic vs. Bird (helped to revitilize the NBA) and the beginning of the Michael Jordan era.

    The "team" concept just isn't as strong in the NBA anymore.

    Another vote for the '80s. Aside from the marketing push and everyone involved starting to get filthy rich, tv ratings up, etc....you also had the greatest players of all time involved in the decade.

    Magic Johnson / Larry Bird / Dr J / Michael Jordan

    Plus, the "Showtime" Lakers alone made the decade the best! image
